SNEAK PEEK - from upcoming Fair Hero Series Book #2 (still to be named) If there were some ancient text that was wicked important to vampires and other supernatural beings, why would Grigoryi Aleksey Sereysky have hidden it in the first place? Why not use it? Or at least give it to some other vampire who could use it responsibly? If it couldn’t be used responsibly, then why not destroy it? And what the hell was up with the stupid puzzle hidden in the hallmarks on the back of his silver products that have been scattered all over the world? Maybe it’s because I’m not a vampire, but not the brightest idea, in my opinion. And what is the freaking thing supposed to do anyway? I’ll be honest, that’s what I really wanted to know. What made it worth all these centuries of searching and made it worth ol’ Grigsy meeting his true death? I don’t about you, but when you see those scenes in movies and TV where they torture people to find out where some item is hidden, I can’t think of anything in my life I’d be willing to withstand that kind of crap to hide, can you? Nope. I love Kin, but if someone wanted to break my hands, cut off fingers, burn me with cigars, and on and on, I’d give him up as a vampire pretty damn quick. He’s a big boy, he can take care of himself. And other than that and my real weight, what do I have to hide?
